4K Universe is set in the 4K Universe.

The 4K Universe, formerly known as the New Decade Canon, is the fan-fictional setting of all JackJackson17 fangames and fan stories. It has no connection to the 2D, 3D, HD and 2K Universe.

Overview[]

For the most part - the New Decade Canon take place in fictionalised American and fictionalised Australian settings. The first two fan games take place in a fictionalised location in America.

Characters[]

For the most part - it involves a protagonist who either wants out of the criminal underworld or protagonist that don't even want in. There are few exceptions as Elena, Demetrius, Desmond, Cris, and Vincent are actively involved in criminal activities. Both Felicity Lizote and Aleksandra Kowalska are also exceptions as they actively engage in criminal activities willing, however, they both conceal their identities.

It also features a female protagonist outside Multiplayer.

The weapons and Vehicles are mostly similar to the HD Universe.

Wanted System[]

The Wanted System remains relatively the same for Grand Theft Auto: New Leaf and Grand Theft Auto: RPG, however, Grand Theft Auto: Songs from the Bayou and following installments see a significant change to the wanted system in the 4K Universe. It retains the five-star system from GTA V and the proximity-based style, however, it includes the use of disguise sets that can allow the player avoid acquiring a "record". The player acquires as "record" while committing crimes without a disguise which increases hostility between the player and cops. This borrows the "bounty system" from the Red Dead series and the "Notoriety levels" from the Assassin's Creed series.

Unlike the Red Dead series - the player can't pay off their "bounty" but they can reduce hostility by having the "record" removed by going to a judge or magistrate, and try to "prove" that they didn't commit the crime which upon failure will result on perjury being added to their "record". The player can also choose to do "community service" to "take responsibility" which lowers hostility between the player and the law.

Money[]

With the exception of games set before 2012; all other games use a new form of currency which is cryptocurrency called KittyCat (yes, I'm serious about the name, yes I know it's silly but cute name but who'd expect criminals to use a currency with an adorable name)

Shared Features[]

With the exception of Grand Theft Auto: RPG, Grand Theft Auto: LAMAR, and SFTB; each of game has more than one player character. While; New Leaf four different final missions that the player can choose to undertake, and RPG uses the mission storyline; SFTB and LAMAR have players required conduct a raid as their final mission. Four's a Party and onwards will involve a more nonlinear storytelling in which the players actions through out the game affect the ending.

Unlike the previous Universes - the New Decade Canon doesn't place states or cities as Islands rather as actual fictionalised states of Fictionalised America or fictionalised Australia. As well as fictionalised cities of the United Kingdom.

The Bullworth County is located in the State of Narragansett which neighbors the Ipswich County (Suffolk County)

Map Restrictions[]

Unlike the 3D Universe and HD Universe; game locations aren't island but rather based on their real life-counterparts locations and surrounding for example San Fierro is surrounded by water in all locations neither is Vice City, Los Santos, Liberty City, or any other locations as such with exception of Grand Theft Auto: RPG; each game utilises different means to keep the player inside the map other than the use of invisible walls.

Tristan and/or Samantha will simply automatically turn around and walk/drive back into map. After Samantha is framed; she will be automatically busted if she exits the maps. After Isaac betrays Tristan; Tristan will be automatically wasted if he leaves the map.

Lizzie will simply turn around back onto the map.

Songs from the Bayou

Similar to New Leaf; Aleksandra will simply turn back and return to the map, however, if she ventures out towards the Caribbean Sea area during Part I she'll be automatically wasted by the Hurricane, in Part II any boat or helicopter with the exception of missions that Aleksandra is in will be automatically destroyed by the Falloimitator and this will continue throughout the rest of the game.

Four's a Party

Each of the four players have their own reactions to leaving the map with Dean Wintergreen being busted for his expired visa, Elena Salazar being wasted by hidden Carjackers goons, Action Kenneth simply returning to the map, and Nari Seong becomes temporarily unplayable), however, with the exception of Action - all other player characters simply return to the map during missions.
