The Obey 9F Custom is a two-door endurance racing car in HD Universe.

Design[]

The 9F Custom is essentially a racing-oriented variant of the 9F, and undergoes several major visual changes making it strongly resemble the Audi R8 LMS Ultra once converted. The most notable change is both the car's front and rear arches, which are widened to give its bodywork a more aerodynamic, bulky appearance, although they are not as extended as the Banshee 900R's.

Additionally, the car's front and rear bumpers are fitted with CFRP canards/splitter and an extended diffuser, respectively. A large, single scoop and two hood pins are also positioned on the hood. Otherwise, the front of the car remains aggressively-styled and identical to the original 9F. The carbon panelling originally present on either side of the 9F Cabrio are heightened to nearly reach the roof of the car by default.

Because of the larger area cut out for the bumper, the two exhaust are centered and raised directly between the tailights, which are retained from the original version. The rear also features ventping on the far sides, and an enlarged, GT-style spoiler with the Obey emblem is fitted by default, although it can be replaced with several other spoilers or removed entirely.

However, the 9F Custom can be fitted with a vast array of modifications to alter and improve upon these original ones at Benny's Original Motor Works.

Performance[]

The car's overall performance improves rather dramatically, including a conversion to the Super class from the Sports class. The car's top speed is the most drastic improvement, and the 9F's respectable placement in the Sports class is made apparent in its custom version. The car features large, cross-drilled brake rotors coupled to brake calipers on the rear of each wheel. This, combined with its AWD drivetrain, provides the car with extreme traction and an impressive braking distance, on par with many of the newer super cars.

The car's rear-placed engine appears to be a highly-updated version of the original's, being a high-revving, turbocharged 4.0L V8. A dump-valve can be heard at high speeds, not unlike the one the Adder produces. The car shares its engine model and noises with the Splinter.

Trivia[]

  • The default radio stations for the 9F Custom are Radio Los Santos, The Lab, and West Coast Classics, like the regular versions of the car.
  • Although converting either 9F at Benny's is possible, the Cabrio version will always become a hardtop, losing its convertible roof.
