Claude Derrington is a supporting character in Grand Theft Auto: Vertigo and a minor antagonist in Grand Theft Auto: King of The Hill.
Biography[]
Derrington is another corrupt businessman in the world of Grand Theft Auto. His company, Derrington Incorporation, works on many business sectors, but drugs and blackmailing are everyday life for him as well.
Events in Vertigo[]
Derrington is in an association with the Messina Crime Family and is especially in good terms with Alessandro Urbano, one of their most influential leaders.
In 2005, Derrington requires Urbano to do a couple of favors for him, if the Messina's are still interested in keeping him on their payroll. Urbano, having his hands full with other problems, sends his trusted friend and employee, Giorgio Timms, to aid Derrington.
Derrington makes Giorgio murder a fellow businessman, Phil York, so he can buy York's company. A few days later, Claude and Giorgio go to Francis International Airport to meet one of Claude's new (former York's) associates. York's men attack the meeting and try to kill Derrington, but they're defeated by Giorgio.
Later, Claude summons Giorgio to the docks to help him and his Korean drug distributor, Jae-Yong Fuk, to load their shipment to their van. The LCPD arrives at the scene, but Claude, Jae-Yong, and the drugs are saved, thanks to Giorgio. Derrington decides the Messina's have done enough for him and asks no more favors.
Events in King of The Hill[]
In 2013, Derrington is currently residing in Los Santos and has become friends with Devin Weston. He's also bought Merryweather Security's shares and lusts Weston's, who's Merryweather's major shareholder.
Derrington plots to kill Weston so he can buy his shares. He's got Weston's butler to help him, but their plans are foiled by Miklos Lipton, who kills the butler after Weston's started to get suspicious.
Later it is revealed, that Derrington is in an alliance with an international terror group, NightHawk. NightHawk's director Lincoln Jones hires Miklos Lipton to kill Derrington because the organization has no more use for him.
Lipton encounters Derrington at the Maze Bank Arena, but he flees. Miklos chases Derrington to the LS International and kills him there, removing another corrupt millionaire from Earth.
