Conniving In-Law is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: New Leaf given by Vincent Douglas to Samantha Douglas.
Mission[]
While in her new home; Samantha will receive a phone call from Vincent telling her that he sent an aggressive email using her account in order to get fired for not quitting her job when his hacker - Pandora - made the ultimatum. She curses him for interfering and tells him that she'll stop him from seeing it since he won't be at BlueTech until 10:00. He tries to convince her to stop but she ignores him and races off.
She races through the city in order to beat the BlueTech Employer to BlueTech and she receives a call from Vincent to tell her that it is in her best interest and tells her that he's always had her best interest at heart even revealing the faux stalking story to have her transfer for to the Paint Department which only infuriates her. She hangs up and is nearly halfway to BlueTech before hitting Demetrius Norwood with her car accidentally and forcing her to stop. Demetrius dies and she is forced to stay at the scene; failing to stop her boss from seeing the email.
Gameplay[]
- Get in your car.
After the player hangs up; they'll be directed to get in the BlueTech Rhapsody.
- Get in back your car.
If the player gets out of the car at anytime they'll be directed to get back in.
- Go to BlueTech.
The player simply begins driving as Sam argues with Vincent Douglas eventually she'll hang up. After drive of half of the way there; a cutscene will play and Samantha will accidentally run down Demetrius as he runs onto the road. She receives a call while being assessed at the seen that she is fired and the player will receive a Mission Failed text on the screen.

Outcome[]
Samantha doesn't receive any reward for the mission as it is scripted to fail and loses her BlueTech Rhapsody and thus no longer has a personal vehicle but gains the option to get a new one by taking a random car to the Lincoln State Customs and have a tracker placed into.
