The Observatory Heist is a heist update for GTA: Online. It is centred around robbing the Galileo Observatory.

The Observatory Heist was teased in a similar manner to the Cayo Perico Heist, with an enigmatic surveillance video to kick it off.
On the 16th December, 2023, a video called SAA was uploaded onto Rockstar’s YouTube channel. It featured a surveillance tape of various areas in the Observatory.
On the 7th February, 2024, another video was released, titled “Remember”. The majority of the video was clips from various parts of GTA V/Online’s story, but the last few segments of the video featured an Alien Egg in a glass case, followed by the words “You’ve been here before.”, and the code “30/5/24”. This later turned out to be the release date.
On the 28th April, 2024, the full trailer was finally released.
