Grand Theft Auto: The General Mills' Project, also abbreviated as GTA: TGMP, is a videogame published by Rockstar Games and developed by Rockstar North. The game will be released for Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 9th, 2018. The PC release date is still to be anounced. ESRB: E. The video-game is the sixteenth GTA game in the Grand Theft Auto series by the latter videogame company.
As the game was announced by Rockstar on October 20th, 2013, many players speculated whether the game was going to consist of a major change in the current maps of San Andreas (GTA SA), Liberty City and a major improvement to GTA V's Los Santos or not. The game is said to be one of Rockstar Games' greatest challenges and the most expensive game to make thus far, and have taken several years to create.
Grand Theft Auto: The General Mills' Project is set in the era of San Andreas (GTA SA), Liberty City (GTA IV) and San Andreas (GTA V) in the years between 1992 and the futuristic years of 2121 and include their respected protagonists: Carl Jackson, Feliman Damm, Gordon Jackson, Felix Mills and Shepard Jackson. In the first part of the game, in San Andreas and its coveted areas, the setting uses GTA San Andreas's era of the year 1992, while the rest of the game will take place place during GTA IV and GTA V's eras of 2008 and 2013, respectively.
When a black project is stolen off a top secret research base out in Fort Carson, Carl Jackson, a 29 year old former FIB Agent, receives a phone call from General John Mills to investigate the theft. Along with his long time friends, Feliman Damm and Michael Toreno, they find out that the theft is actually a part of a major conspiracy and set-up led by a notorious organisation known as Cautcian Enterprises and a mysterious Mystery Man.
Missions and Characters
The game will consist of more than 108 missions, including gunfights and normal objectives. The player will be able to take control over all the other protagonists at the same time when they are unlocked, but some of them are only available after completing a special mission or side-mission. Some characters may even be unavailable in a specific period of the game's plot due to plot-related situations.
The gameplay in The General Mills' Project hasn't changed a bit from Grand Theft Auto IV or V, but has a slight change in the player's HUD.
