- ❝God help us. Unhinged is the worst Grand Theft Auto EVER.❞
- — Larry King
Grand Theft Auto: Unhinged is a video game developed by Rockstar India for PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
It is the first game ever developed by Rockstar India and was universally panned for its terrible graphics and criplling depression inducing glitches. It currently holds the average score of 31/100 on Metacritic.
Unhinged was heavily critized for the suicide -option, which if used, crashes and corrupts the game.
Story[]
Nelson Wilson, a small-time burglar, lives relatively laid-back life, spending his days drinking, masturbating, playing video games and occasionally hanging out with his neighbor and friend, Jorge Jimenez.
After a brief stint in a mental hospital upstate, Nelson returns to the streets of Los Santos. During Nelson's treatment, Jorge has formed a tiny criminal organization, that consists of his Surinamese friends and family. Jorge hires Nelson to help him grow his gang's influence in their neighborhood, which results in a slew of botched robberies and drug deals.
Jorge and Nelson pull all the stops to achieve a grand armored van robbery, but end up accidentally destroying the club house of the Drebin Family biker gang. Their leader, Daniel Drebin, catches up the duo, and Jorge puts all the blame on Nelson. To repay the damages, Daniel forces Nelson to work for him from now on. Nelson has no choice but to agree.
Daniel makes Nelson carry out a bunch of daring and dangerous jobs for his gang, and Nelson already unstable mental state begins to crumble under the stress. Drebin's tasks also introduce Nelson to Woody Kroll, a gravedigger-drug dealer, who takes him under his wing, as they both suffer from Daniel's bossy, sociopathic demeanor. Woody promises to help Nelson deal with his Drebin problem, if he in return helps Woody get his "best lay ever". Woody is a necrophile, so Nelson must get him some great corpses, including an union boss and a Vinewood actress. He also kills Tommy Bell.
During these difficult, stressful times, Nelson finds support and comfort from his niece, Red, who comes to live in his house after dropping out of college. Through Red's retirement home volunteer work, Nelson meets Craig Paul, a former leader of a religious murder cult. Nelson bonds with the demented old coot, and helps Paul unleash his twisted brand of chaos and anarchy into the city once more.
Nelson's difficult relationship with the Drebins comes to a close, as they attempt to kill him as a farewell gift for his services. Nelson is now wanted by Daniel, who also sets his sights on Woody, for killing his best friend, Tommy. Nelson and Woody band together to push the Drebins back. Also, Woody finally gets his best lay ever, when Nelson steals Tommy Bell's corpse to him. Woody is satisfied and gifts Nelson his armored Boxville.
Nelson knows he's going to need some muscle to defeat Daniel, so he heads home to ask help from Jorge Jimenez. Jorge, however, is too scared to take on the Drebins and scolds Nelson for being nothing but trouble to him. Jorge even pulls a gun on Nelson, but he's saved by Red. The Duo then ends Nelson's friendship with Jorge once and for all, by killing him and wiping out his gang.
Out of better ideas, Nelson and Red turn to Craig Paul and his cult for assistance. Craig is happy to help, as he declares Nelson helped him feel alive for the first time in decades. Nelson, Red, Craig and a bunch of his cultists ride Woody's Boxville to battle, and ram over the Drebin bikers on their way to the LS International Airport.
Nelson and crew corner Daniel at the airport, and after a heated gun fight, suck the Drebin Family leader into a turbine, shredding him into millions of pieces. Nelson's life can finally return back to normal, but to spice things up a little bit, he decides to join Craig's cult.
Characters[]
Nelson Wilson[]
The Protagonist and playable character of Unhinged is a lazy, laid-back bum, who finances his care-free and sluggish life style with occasional burglaries and muggings. Nelson suffers from ADD and lacks in initiative and problem solving skills, which causes him unbearable stress when he is forced to work for Daniel Drebin.
Woody Kroll[]
A Necrophilic, serial killing, drug dealing gravedigger, who sort of takes Nelson under his wing after Daniel Drebin forces them to work together. Woody promises to help Nelson break free from Drebin's reign, if Nelson in return helps Woody get his "best lay ever".
Jorge Jimenez[]
Nelson's small-time crime lord neighbor, to whom he sometimes works for. Jorge's happy-go-lucky attitude combined with his inability to take responsibility from his mistakes ultimately leads to Nelson accidentally killing a bunch of Drebin Family bikers. Jorge leads the Surinamese mob, that consists of approximately 10 people.
Daniel Drebin[]
The Head of the Drebin Family biker gang. Daniel's faced some very rough setbacks in recent years, which have toughened him up to almost sadistic levels. When Nelson accidentally destroys his gang's club house, Daniel forces him to pay for his mistake and do some real challenging jobs for him.
Craig Paul[]
A Demented, former cult leader, who Nelson visits at the retirement home. Craig gives Nelson some stupid missions.
Red Liotta[]
Nelson's cynical, high school dropout, emo niece, who gives Nelson a shoulder to lean on to during his stressful times. Red is Nelson's go-to person whenever he's in trouble or needs some backup.
Gameplay[]
Rockstar India tried their best to port Grand Theft Auto V's Los Santos to mobile devices, but failed miserabely, causing the game to lag like shit and toning down the graphics to a level so low, you could confuse Grand Theft Auto: Unhinged to a Nintendo 64 game. Los Santos County and Sandy Shores had to be cut.

Weapons[]
Unhinged has an unique weapon system compared to other Grand Theft Auto -titles. The Game includes 12 weapons, divided into 4 categories: Handguns, Rifles, Shotguns and Heavy Weapons.
Radio[]
Those damn Indians thought the game didn't need radio channels full of licensed songs, so the just included like 15 instrumental tracks that play whenever the player enters a car.
