Imitation is The Sincerest Form of Flattery is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Life in San Fierro that Vincent Douglas conducts independently. He begins immediately after Taylor-Made with Demetrius El Rey Ajedrez deciding to lay low after the attack on the Taylors. Vincent Douglas arrives in San Fierro by the Grant Ferry service.
Plot[]
Vincent was sitting on a ferry with a catalog style briefcase underneath his seat arriving from Verdalito as he was reading a letter from an appraiser in San Fierro by the name of Benjamin Bien-Aime. The ferry arrived at the terminal in which Vincent disembarked the ferry in which a man in a suit greeted him telling him that his employer asked to him to deliver a car for him as he 'welcome to the city' present to which Vincent was impressed and asked if Benjamin really went to such lengths for him in which man in the suit said nothing and told him to take care of the car as Vincent got in the black Infernus Classic. He asked them where the Fineman's Art studio was and they told him that it was in the Paradiso Port district to which he thanked them before they left as he stood and admired his new ride before getting in the car.
Arriving at the Art Studio; Vincent went inside when he was greeted by Benjamin whom interrupted him before he could thank him for the car as Benjamin introduced Vincent to his 10-year-old daughter, Caroline Bien-Aime, when he called her over to take Vincent's baggage to the spare office. Benjamin told him that he will let him stay at the art studios for his needs before asking to see his imitation painting of Despair. Vincent opened his briefcase before revealing his painting in which Benjamin complimented Vincent on his crayon skills and attempt to perfectly imitate Despair before telling him that painting was worth $100,900 and will make sure that his prospective buyer would know that it was appraised. Vincent thanked him as Benjamin and Caroline left with Vincent going into office with as a wardrobe had been provided along with a stretcher as a bed.
Vincent went out to his car in which went to park in an empty parking spot before noticing a note in the glove box in which told read "Enjoy this welcome present and if you found this note - take another look in the glove box." Vincent took another look in the glove box and found a pager and a cell phone before getting out his car.
