Ismail Nazarian's Theme
100%

Ismail "Izzy" Nazarian is the loud, over-the-top nephew of Alan Nazarian, a hardened and shrewd figure within the Los Santos Armenian Mob. Despite Alan's old-school, businesslike approach, Izzy is a polar opposite: loud, flamboyant, and overly confident. He idolized the glamour of mob life from a young age but somehow skipped over the parts about discipline and subtlety, leaning hard into the flashier side of the underworld.

Miklos Lipton, a rising name in the Los Santos criminal underworld, becomes one of Izzy's closest (and most begrudging) allies. While Miklos is disciplined, intense, and tactical, Izzy is the complete opposite. Chaotic, smug, and prone to turning a simple mission into a full-blown spectacle. Despite Miklos' endless annoyance with Izzy's antics, the two develop a grudging friendship, with Izzy seeing Miklos as both a mentor and a challenge to outshine. Izzy's loyalty to Miklos becomes one of his few redeeming qualities, even if his antics often push Miklos' patience to its limits.

Izzy is the kind of guy who'll crack a joke in the middle of a shootout, pose for a selfie afterwards, and somehow walk away from the chaos he caused like nothing happened. But under all the cheap cologne and gaudy gold chains is a man who cares deeply for his family and friends and who'd do anything to protect the people he loves.

Just don't expect him to pass up the chance to make a grand entrance while doing it.

Personality[]

Ismail is a walking embodiment of bravado and flash. With his gold-plated AK, custom D-Wagon, and a wardrobe that screams look at me, Izzy thrives on being the center of attention. He's smug, overconfident, and never misses an opportunity to show off, even in the most dangerous situations. While his humor and swagger often lighten tense moments, his tendency to brush off threats can frustrate those around him, especially his uncle Alan Nazarian.

Driven by reckless ambition, Izzy sees himself as a rising star in Los Santos' criminal underworld. He believes that charisma and style are just as important as strategy and strength. His unshakable confidence can inspire others, but it also blinds him to the consequences of his actions, leading him to take risks that others might deem foolish. Beneath the surface, Izzy's bravado hides a burning desire to live up to the Nazarian legacy, even if his methods sometimes cause chaos along the way.

Appearance[]

Izzy is impossible to miss, and he wouldn't have it any other way. Standing tall and lanky, Izzy commands attention through his bold personality and flamboyant style. His well-trimmed beard adds a polished edge to his otherwise slightly rugged appearance, while his thick, expressive eyebrows often furrow dramatically when he's weaving a tale or plotting his next wild scheme. His round, slightly pudgy face lends him an air of approachable charm, balancing his "smug mobster" persona with a touch of "endearing neighborhood guy."

Izzy's wardrobe is as loud as his personality, with his most striking piece being his signature bright-red blazer. Beneath it, he usually sports a flashy, patterned shirt with the top buttons undone or a crisp white turtleneck, showing off multiple gold chains around his neck, though anyone with a keen eye can tell at least half of them are fake. His wrists are adorned with a chunky gold watch and matching bracelets, oversized and ostentatious, more for flash than function, since he can't read clocks anyway.

He pairs his blazer with slim black trousers, impeccably tailored despite his chaotic energy, and a pair of polished snakeskin loafers that gleam like they've never touched dirt. Perched on his face are usually knock-off designer glasses, tinted just enough to make him look important, whether it's sunny or not. Adding to his flashy persona, he sports a nose piercing, a small stud on his nostril, a tribute to his favorite rapper, {[w|2Pac}}, though he'd never admit how much time he spent in the mirror debating if he could pull it off.

Izzy reeks of cheap cologne, the kind that clings to the air long after he's gone, a scent so overpowering that most people grimace at it. But to him? It's perfect, a finishing touch to his carefully curated look.

Relationships[]

Alan Nazarian[]

His aging uncle and current leader of the Armenian Mob in Los Santos. Alan tolerates Izzy's antics but often scolds him for his lack of professionalism.

Miklos Lipton[]

While Izzy admires Miklos' strength and leadership, he enjoys poking at his serious demeanor. Their dynamic is one of reluctant camaraderie, with Miklos frequently annoyed by Izzy's over-the-top behavior.

King of the Hill[]

Put Out My Flames With Gasoline[]

“Sup. And its Izzy now, uncle! I've been holding it down for my uncle. Ain't nobody messing with us when I'm around.”

Miklos first meets Ismail Nazarian in a heated argument with his uncle Alan over a donut-eating challenge. Despite his flashy bravado and over-the-top antics, Alan assigns Izzy to accompany Miklos on a crucial mission to infiltrate Tatsu Hsiang's Triad mansion. Izzy insists on taking Miklos to Perseus, a high-end clothing store, where Miklos gets his first suit to blend in with the elite crowd. It's here that Miklos meets Jenni Taylor, the assistant, for the first time, as well. At the party, Izzy uses his loud, cocky personality to create a major distraction by the pool, drawing the attention of guards, guests, and Miss Hsiang herself. This diversion allows Miklos to slip into the mansion undetected, steal sensitive documents from the office, and set the room ablaze before the two make a daring escape.

A Train To East Los Santos[]

“I'm saying, let's make it loud and clear. Morningwood's ours, right? So, we hit the streets and tag it up! "Lipton Gang" on every corner. Let the city know who's in charge.”

Trivia[]

  • Ismail was added in the King of the Hill 2024 Remaster, as Alan Nazarian was considered too old to be doing missions with Miklos, and to give the Armenians another feature.
  • Ismail Nazarian takes his first name from Ismail Lika, a Kosovar-Albanian mobster active in New York City during the 1980s, dubbed the "King of the New York drug underworld" who led a smuggling outfit trafficking heroin from Afghanistan and Turkey via Kosovo to the U.S.
