- ❝Do I look like a guy who gives a fuck about your feelings? Do I look like a guy who gives a fuck about anything else than what's in this for himself? I'm sorry, but I think I do. Money controls everyone's lives, everyone's gonna die, and I don't give a fuck, okay?❞
- — Lloyd Tederev to Max O'Sullivan
Lloyd Tederev is the protagonist of Los Santos Chronicles - Crime/Punishment.
Biography[]
Lloyd Tederev was born in Bison in 1972, alongside his twin brother Floyd, as the 8th and 9th sons of their father, Aleksandr. The twins were part of a large family, with 16 sons in total. Tragically, Lloyd lost his mother in 1973, leaving Aleksandr, a founding member and underboss of the Bison Ukrainian Mafia, to raise the family. Following in his father's footsteps, Lloyd chose a career in the criminal underworld.
In 1993, Lloyd took over his father's position in the mafia after Aleksandr was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. His resolute and calculated approach to business earned him respect across Bison's criminal circles.
Lloyd is divorced and has a son named Leroy. His ex-wife, Liza, is now deceased.
Events in King of the Hill[]
In 2013, Lloyd was sent to Los Santos by Luka Rovozicki, Don of the Bison Ukrainian Mafia, to address the family's issues in the city's operations and ensure their success. Under Lloyd's management, the Ukrainians solidified their foothold in Los Santos, quickly becoming one of the most dominant Ukrainian criminal networks outside of Bison.
Attack on Triad[]
One night, during a major deal between the Ukrainians and the Triads involving a Mule truck loaded with crack cocaine, the shipment was ambushed and stolen by two unknown assailants. Hugo Yacksley, one of Lloyd's trusted underbosses, managed to escape and caught a glimpse of the attackers, though their identities remained a mystery.
Lloyd's extensive network scoured the underworld for leads but initially came up empty-handed. Eventually, his connections provided a name: Miklos Lipton. Suspecting Miklos's involvement, Lloyd used his influence to obtain Lipton's number and gave him a cryptic but chilling call.
"Mr. Lipton. Let's just say I represent... certain interests. Interests that recently crossed paths with you. You've been busy tonight, haven't you? Little Seoul, a truck full of crack, a certain... disagreement with some associates. Let's not pretend we don't understand each other, Mr. Lipton. We'll be in touch. Perhaps you did not know whom you were messing with. Do try to stay alive."
With this subtle yet ominous warning, Lloyd made it clear that Miklos was now under his watchful eye, and there would be consequences for interfering with the Ukrainian Mafia's interests.
Quiet Like A Ham[]
The two criminal leaders, Miklos and Lloyd, eventually crossed paths at a tense peace sit-down between the Triads, led by Miss Tatsu Hsiang, and the Ukrainians, who were enraged by what they perceived as blatant disrespect. The air was thick with tension, voices raised, and after a heated exchange, guns were drawn. They begrudgingly came to terms with a deal.
"We've built an empire. Loan sharking, weapon trafficking, and a steady flow of cash from bank robberies. Everything runs smoothly because I make sure it does. But you? You disrupted that. That crack you stole? It wasn't just a product. It was supposed to fund a bank heist. And you killed five good men to get it. So here's the deal. Tomorrow, we're hitting the Fleeca Bank, the Rockford Hills Branch on Boulevard Del Perro Street."
Events in Los Santos Chronicles[]
By 2014, Lloyd was still operating in Los Santos, having been sent there by the Rovozicki Family under Don Luka Rovozicki to address and stabilize the growing issues within the family's Los Santos branch.
The gang's most recent bank robbery ended in disaster when their loot was stolen, jeopardizing one of the family's primary sources of income. Determined to recover the stolen money, Lloyd teams up with the Los Santos branch leader, Vladimir Zykarov, to investigate. Their initial leads point to the Los Santos Santas, a local group with a reputation for bold thefts. However, the trail quickly grows cold, leaving Lloyd and his crew at a frustrating dead end.
Vladimir's investigations lead him to realize that his closest henchmen Adam and Maksim, who also were part of the bank heist crew, have betrayed the family and stolen the loot. Lloyd kills the duo, who before their demise tell him they just followed orders from their boss. Vladimir wants Lloyd to find this traitor in the Rovozicki Family's bank robbery connections.
Lloyd works for Max O'Sullivan, a contractor and Rovozicki Family's associate, so he could use his connections to figure out the bank robbery mess. After some favors, Lloyd gets two names from O'Sullivan's FIB contact; Rafael Ramos and Peter Pines. Lloyd contacts both men to figure out what is their involvement in the robbery.
Pines, a multi-millionaire businessman, turns out to know nothing but promises to help Lloyd in his investigations if he does him a few errands.
Ramos, Paleto Bay based Mexican drug cartel boss, seems to be behind the loot theft, and Lloyd starts working for him to gain his trust to eventually destroy him. Lloyd does a couple of jobs for Ramos until he's betrayed and ambushed by Ramos, who reveals his "brother" tipped him about Lloyd's intentions. Lloyd survives the ambush and starts planning an attack on Ramos.
Pines is killed by an unknown killer and his documents are destroyed, making his investigations about the Rovozicki Family traitor go up in smoke. O'Sullivan's FIB contact also turns against him, forcing Lloyd to kill him while covering O'Sullivan during a meeting.
Lloyd attacks Ramos' farm, killing his men and burning down his cannabis plants. Lloyd encounters Ramos and murders him, but is shot in the leg by Vladimir, who enters the scene out of nowhere. Vladimir reveals he's the one who plotted the bank robbery loot theft, motivated by greed and the relatively small salary. He gets the cash stored in Ramos' vault and flees.
Lloyd limps after Vladimir and after a lengthy chase kills him in Chumash. All the money is lost in the sea, however.
Aftermath[]
Aftermath, Rovozicki Family Don Luka Rovozicki contacts Lloyd and thanks to killing all betrayers in Ukrainian Mafia and makes him as his successor, that means if Luka dies Lloyd replacing him.
Personality[]
Lloyd has seen a lot in his life, leaving him bitter, brutal, and impatient. Sent to Los Santos to resolve his employer's problems, he is focused solely on that mission. He is constantly irritated by having to assist others who may not reciprocate and is strict about where he invests his time (and money). Lloyd remains loyal to Luka Rovozicki, viewing him as a grandfather figure.
Lloyd respects individuals who share his mindset in life and business, such as Peter Pines and Vladimir Zykarov, both of whom he views as father figures due to their older age. Conversely, he despises people like Max O'Sullivan and Rafael Ramos, who manipulate him for their personal gain.
According to Lloyd's son Leroy, before his divorce, Liza's death, and his full-time commitment to work, Lloyd was a kind and loving person. Now, he is all business, focused solely on his objectives.
