2024 Coup d'État

The November 21st Coup d'État was a military-led political overthrow in New Zealand, spearheaded by Chief Constable Scott O'Sullivan and 17 elite Anti-Defiance Squadrons. The coup was carried out amidst escalating gang violence, widespread governmental corruption, and public disillusionment with the existing government. O'Sullivan, along with a cadre of high-ranking ADS officials, formed the Eden City Provincial Council, a new governing body that dissolved the democratic institutions of New Zealand and declared martial law.

The coup deposed then Prime Minister Katey Laurell and dismantled her administration, accusing it of failing to address the escalating influx of illegal immigrants and the rising crime epidemic in Eden City. Additionally, her administration faced accusations of collusion with major criminal organizations such as the 12S Triad, further eroding public trust. Under the banner of "Restoring Eden's Shine," Scott O'Sullivan declared himself Chief Prime Minister, and promised to restore national stability, eradicate corruption, and impose law and order in what he described as "an extraordinary era requiring extraordinary leadership."

O'Sullivan's rise to power remains controversial. Supporters hail him as a savior who restored order to a nation on the brink of collapse, while critics accuse him of authoritarian overreach and human rights abuses.
