Grand Theft Auto: Nexus City is a game made by Rockstar New England, Rockstar North, Private Division, Valve, id Software and IO Interactive and published by Rockstar International in 2023 for the PlayStation 4 (and at the same time PlayStation 5), Xbox One (and at the same time Xbox Series X/S), Nintendo Switch and Windows (8.1 & 10)/macOS/tvOS/Linux (Ubuntu, Chrome, Fedora, Debian). The game takes place in the far future (20460) and thus differs from the futuristic settings of GTA 2 and GTA ACS, however it is still part of the HD Universe.
The game also comes with a Multiplayer mode, which is called Nexus City Multiplayer. In it, the player can use any model they want or create a custom one to use as a character.
Having been anticipated heavily since announcement in 2020 (And feared from late 2021 to early 2022 thanks to the Definitive Edition's failure), Nexus City became the most popular game of the decade, grossing over Int$1000000000 in 2 days. However, it was also subjected to criticism for deviating from the original GTA timeframe, and for its extreme violence.

Endings
AKT I Ending
- ❝I killed Kraff, and now you're joining him.❞
- — Blake to Cris Formage right before killing him.
Blake and his friends take the fight to Aron Kraff in space near Sagittarius A*. Aron then boards the ship and threatens to shoot John. Blake runs at Aron, who pushes John aside and is thrown over the edge, only hanging onto Blake’s hand as his legs disintegrate into the black hole. He then lifts him back up and the crew all point Positron Uzis at Aron. Then they all shoot Aron in the face 12 times each. Then Blake dumps Aron’s corpse into Sagittarius A*. The ship flies off at 10C (C = The speed of light) as Blake proclaims he will dump Cris Formage’s corpse into Sagittarius A* as well. The team lands Blake and Katrina on Earth, in Los Santos, San Andreas, North America.
Blake enters the Epsilon Center in Los Santos, contacts Don Percival for Merryweather backup, and Viktor for weapons and then starts a violent shootout between the Epsilon and Blake’s Merryweather Backup. After clearing the building he finds Cris Formage and tells him that his Fake Religion is over. Blake executes Cris Formage by shooting him in the cranium 1000 times with a Metalstorm Infra-Knife Accelerator in 1 second. He then exits as a quantum grenade explodes and the team heads back home. The next day, Blake and Katrina head into their cars and are seen heading to the Nexus City International Airport Island as the credits play with dark music in the background, signifying that while things may seem good, the mood is still depressing. NOT THE END.
AKT II Ending
- ❝"Ю̲ũe? Ү̂ө̊ṱ x̂hø ha̭ш̃ёi! Ña x̂hëm nөќү̄! (What? That's impossible! I AM IMMORTAL!)"❞
- — Aureus's last words.
A heavily injured Blake (so badly injured that half of his left leg is torn apart, and his brain is exposed) looks around at the state of what used to be the world surrounding him. He notices Katrina, John, Skyler and Jay’s corrupted corpses disappearing into the darkness. He then notices his vitals fading, and as such THE BRINGER OF DESTRUCTION activates, preserving his life, and causing his descent into blind unhinged psychopathic rage. The Servants of Aureus are wiped out with a single slash from a titanium Saracen Scimitar as a coincidental bolt of antitechnetium-enriched lightning overloads the molecular accelerators on Blake’s custom titanium Saracen Scimitar, and passes into his body, which causes him to instantly kill enemies (Until the mission ends). He takes a look at Aureus, who then taunts him about his loss. This only furthers the amount of time until Blake regains his sanity. They fight, with Blake having the upper hand, due to his empowerment due to being reduced to an unhinged psychopath. Aureus then tries to impale Blake through his throat, though to no avail, as Blake kills Aureus with a swing of his antitechnetium supercharged titanium Saracen Scimitar, which annihilates anything the antimatter blade slices through. As Aureus dies he starts screaming that he is immortal, then screeches his name as his entire body explodes and is subsequently annihilated by the antitechnetium.
After that ordeal Blake looks once more at the scorched world around him, and then decides to fix it. And by destroying the Device (Merging it with antimatter, which caused the antimatter to annihilate with the Device and the space virus), brings the world back to normal, reviving everyone whom Aureus killed. After having done so, he realizes that he was leaking blood all over the ground, and collapses into a comatose state due to excessive blood loss, but not before re-entering his empty mansion. Before he loses consciousness, he sees visions of his ancestors (only CAVE, Blake C, Harald L, Albert H, Blake A, Sonny B and Kevin T are shown). The camera zooms out from Blake's body as music starts to play, and a scene unfolds showing Katrina entering and collapsing next to Blake's comatose body, then John, Jay, Skyler, Jaakko and Viktor arriving as well, and witnessing what they believed was Blake's third death (It wasn't). The camera cuts to Kevin T taking Blake up to the afterlife (albeit briefly), performing a monologue, after which the game skips 7 days ahead. Blake wakes up from a minor coma (which he assumed was his third death - it wasn't) in the hospital, no longer covered in blood. The next day, he is discharged and the game ends, with the credits still playing dark music. POSSIBLY THE END (OR IS IT?)

Characters
Protagonists (a.k.a The OPT Group)
Blake Johnson (DEUTERAGONIST FROM KATRINA’S POINT OF VIEW): 28 year old Blake hates life to an extreme extent after a long string of unlucky events. His body is physically dead because of a part time job as a mechanic at "Fubar (Fucked up beyond all recognition)". He must defend his honor, business, friends and family. (SPECIAL ABILITY: THE BRINGER OF DESTRUCTION. Drastically increases weapon damage inflicted by Blake and makes him practically indestructible, while overlaying the vision with visual glitches and a dark red tint, slowing time down slightly and adding distorted noise into the background sounds. [Similar to Trevor‘s Red Mist in GTA V, which takes place 18,447 years prior])
John Dawson: 27 year old male best friend of Blake. Helps Blake run the business as one of his three underbosses. On a mission to find who tried to burn him to death. He is the most focused of the four protagonists and is a skilled driver. (SPECIAL ABILITY: A TRUE DRIVING ZEN. Slows time and allows John to perform stunts in slowed time [Similar to Franklin's Driving Focus from GTA V])
Jay Turner: Close friend of Blake and John. Very fast individual, notable for being able to run at Mach 5 for 1 hour before overheating. Currently a bodyguard of Sheikh Saeid Amir during the Sheikh's stay in Nexus City, his contract will expire in 5 years. (SPECIAL ABILITY: SPEEDS NOT REACHABLE BY MAN. Slows time down a significant amount, making Jay's true speed while the ability is active Mach 5, [Stacks with the cheat to slow time down, allowing Jay to hypothetically move at 20 times the speed of sound] and increases stamina + lung capacity to max)
Skyler Evergreen: Female best friend of Blake. Very weaponized and dangerous, nearly a psychopath. You wouldn’t want to be on her angry side. Lost her sanity at high school, in an incident where someone tried to kill her, but failed, then died very messily. After that incident, she never looked at the world the same way and would happily kill anyone who pissed her off (Except Blake, Katrina, Jaakko, John or Jay). (SPECIAL ABILITY: KILLING WITH PINPOINT ACCURACY. Time slows down, even for Skyler, who can more precisely aim due to the slowed time [Similar to Michael's Area Kill from GTA V])
Katrina Pedersen (DEUTERAGONIST FROM BLAKE'S POINT OF VIEW, PLAYABLE CHARACTER FOR CERTAIN MISSIONS & FREE ROAM): Blake’s girlfriend. A quiet but loving Norwegian woman who met Blake when they were both 17. (USES BLAKE'S SPECIAL ABILITY: THE BRINGER OF DESTRUCTION, FOR MORE INFO SEE Blake Johnson)

Volodymyr Rosenthal (DEUTERAGONIST FROM JOHN'S POINT OF VIEW): Good friends with the protagonists. Helps set up the heists
Devon Copland: Member of Trevor Philips Enterprises. Good friends with Blake.

Adolf Blaine Charles David Wolfeschlegelsteinhausenbergerdorff III: Member of the DP Board of Directors.
Dr Ludwig Heidelbergen: Leader of the Plasma Wakefield Accelerator development team.
Kevat Tuominen: Race Driver for DP in the Anti-Gravity League. Kirsi Tuominen's younger brother.

Since his first two names appear to an ordinary human as an incomprehensible string of consonants with only one vowel near the end (The Old Kentauri letter Ő is transliterated often as W) he took on the false identity of Maxim Jones.
Antagonists
Cris Formage [Main Antagonist, AKT I]: Leader of Epsilonism. Named Kronos Magazine's Worst Person Ever multiple times.
Aron Kraff [Secondary Antagonist, AKT I]: Second in command to Cris Formage. Wants Blake and his friends dead. Convinced Cris Formage to plot the poisoning and eventual death of Kevin T. Johnson II.

- Servants of Aureus (Nova: ჯქქဇး աဇ ქင်္ခဓုးးင်္ဓς/QĂĂXỊ NX ĂẄƯRRỂỊỊỨS [CHILDREN OF AUREUS]): [REDACTED] is all that's known about the Servants of [REDACTED]. Their leader, [REDACTED], [REDACTED, CLASSIFIED INFORMATION] star systems in the Milky Way. Originated from Novon, in the [REDACTED] system, [REDACTED] light years away from Earth. NOW THEY'RE COMING FOR THE EARTH, UNLESS BLAKE AND HIS CRACK TEAM OF PROFESSIONAL PSYCHOPATHS CAN STOP THEM. Repelled at the end of the main game.
- Haines Mafia (AKT III DLC): Responsible for causing the Great Explosion, and killing John, Jay and Skyler, the Haines Mafia employed various means of terrorism to try to take over the United States, all of which culminated in Blake's descendant, Johann (ARC 3 DLC) enlisting his and Katrina's help to take them down.
- Kirikov Bratva (AKT IV DLC): Initially partnered with Atom Corp, Atom's destruction has left the Kirikov clan in disarray. They are seeking active revenge against OPT (Well, more specifically, Blake Johnson himself) for destroying Atom Corp, and they will stop at nothing to achieve it.
Nexus City
Main Article: Nexus City
“Nexus City, the city of death and despair. How did it come to be known as such? Maybe it's the bath salt junkies, maybe it's the increasing homicide rate, or maybe, just maybe, it's what goes on behind the sauna. How about we find out.” - Blake Johnson’s Monologue prior to the prologue.
Nexus City is a very futuristic city, even more so than Anywhere City. As of 20460, it is the biggest city on the Earth, and in the Solar System. However, no city in the GTA Universe is ever at peace. Nexus City is no exception. The crime rates and corruption have been going upwards for the last few decades. Homicide is very common, especially in the few alleyways of the Alberta Minor district (Based on Bala Cynwyd, Philadelphia), Silmajärvi (Based on Phoenixville, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and in New Vantaa (Based on Wilmington, Delaware, which is part of the area taken up by the in-game Nexus City).
Nexus City is based on Philadelphia, and the entire state of Delaware, with parts of New Jersey, Maryland and half of Pennsylvania.
Due to its futuristic setting, the game’s soundtrack is heavy in darksynth and industrial techno, with eventual hints of Zeuhl appearing here and there at times.
Population
Nexus City is one of the most multicultural cities in USA. Most of the population is coming from Northern Europe and the Former Soviet Union.
The population as of April 30th, 20460 is exactly 185,131,098. Approximately 40% of the population of Nexus City is Finnish, which explains the large amount of Finnish characters in the game. This makes Nexus City the only city in the United States of North America to have a Finnish majority. Finnish (and sometimes Karelian) is even taught in schools, and is considered an official language of the Union.
The next largest minority groups are the Karelians, the Turkish, the Russians, the African-Americans, the Icelandic, the Norwegians, Armenians and the Poles. All together, they make up approximately 25% of the population. Turka (based on Tofaş & Fiat), Timur (based on Otokar), KME (based on Karsan), Ilomanči (based on Valmet Auto & SISU) and Ansahmanut'yun have a very strong presence in the automotive industry, creating about 10000000 jobs altogether in Nexus City.
Other minority groups include Syrians, Germans, Bretons, Pakistanis, Chinese, Taiwanese Indigenous, Various Indian Nations, Various Native American Nations, Cornish, Welsh, Irish, Georgians, Italians, Ukrainians, Romanians, Japanese, Koreans and Various Turkic peoples. Altogether, they make up approximately 13% of the population.
Design

A random futuristic city concept, not unlike the final design for Nexus City.
Nexus City's unique avant-garde design is inspired by current predictions of a futuristic city, and numerous concepts of a futuristic city. The City Center was primarily inspired by EPCOT Future World, with the Main Nexus Pavilion being based off of Spaceship Earth. The more wealthy districts, such as Katmoda, Å (Aa), Atlantin Reunus or New Vantaa were based significantly on the undamaged forms of cities on Earth in Mass Effect 3 and places like Modesto Heights and Vineta K in WipEout HD Fury, while the more run-down districts appear as technological slums.
The districts in the immediate vicinity of New Uruk share in its blend of Sumerian and Avant-Garde architecture, and those that are Alien-Majority reflect the native architecture of the species that the district is mostly comprises of.
Sports
Nexus City is known for excelling in sports. In Football, this city is popular in this sport for having teams such as New Vantaa Pirus, Katmoda Nokias, Nexus City Vittus (Nexus City Cunts), Supreme Kickers, Pulsar Sports Football, Katmoda Suplexers and many more teams. The most popular pastime in Nexus City is Anti-Gravity Racing, having been introduced to the area in 2036, long before Nexus City existed.
Gameplay Overview
Nexus City's gameplay is much like that of previous titles such as Last Stand or V, albeit significantly faster-paced in terms of combat, but slower in terms of the passage of time, which this time passes at the exact same rate as real life, meaning that a day now lasts 24 hours of real-world time.
Like Last Stand, San Andreas Living, Light & Shadow and V, there is a multiple Protagonist system, where you can switch between 4/5 protagonists (6 in DLC AKT III/7 in DLC AKT IV/2 in DLC AKT V), with their own unique skills and abilities:
- Blake and Katrina have higher health than the others, and they also share THE BRINGER OF DESTRUCTION, which makes them practically indestructible, and increases their weapon damage, although in Blake's case this sacrifices stamina and speed.
- John excels in driving skill, and his special ability, A TRUE DRIVING ZEN, reflects that by slowing time down to let him drive more precisely. He also has higher muscle strength than the others, but this also sacrifices his precision in favor of brute force.
- Jay runs faster than the others, and has higher stamina and lung capacity, reflected in his ability, SPEEDS NOT REACHABLE BY MAN. The ability lets him move at Mach 5. The disadvantage to his higher Stamina is lower health than the others.
- Skyler has incredibly precise aim and this reflects in her KILLING WITH PINPOINT ACCURACY ability, slowing time down for her to be able to aim more precisely. This however causes her to sacrifice driving skill.
New Features
Space Travel
- The player can now travel to outer space, assuming they have a high enough speed to exit the atmosphere.
- Some celestial bodies are part of the story (Luna, Kentauros, Novon, Venus, Mars)
- Extremely massive map. The whole Milky Way is playable territory.
- Many important alien life forms take on important roles in the story.

Miscellaneous
- A new, revamped Cellphone interface. Character specific (Blake owns an iFruit G82S Pro Max luxury phone based on a modified iPhone 12 Pro Max (Caviar iPhone 12 Pro Max Assassin), John owns a Wiwang 21 high-end phone based on the Huawei P Smart 2020, Jay owns a Bittersweet Stardust B192 Ultimate high-end phone based on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, Skyler owns a Kakagawa E85 based on the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha, Katrina owns a Façade 330XL based on the Nokia 9). Instead of functioning like the GTA V phones did, it is controlled like in real life. There is also the abillty to play games on the phone. Certain games are specific to certain phones (i.e. QUB3D is only on iFruit, while Penetrator is exclusive to Kakagawa).
- The battery on the phone synchronizes with the battery of the controller (CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE).
- The Wasted screen now shows how the player died (i.e Skyler was annihilated with a Ū-Bomb./Blake drank himself to death.). However, if playing as Blake/Katrina, after the Wasted screen fades, you wake up in the exact area where you were killed instead of going to a hospital
- When drunk, drinking excessively can lead to death.
- Upon taking damage, the screen glitches out and flashes red around the corners. Upon reaching low health, the screen is extremely glitchy and flashes red constantly. When MISSION FAILED, the screen flashes red, goes grayscale, glitches out excessively, and cuts to the MISSION FAILED screen. The same thing occurs with BUSTED, albeit it flashes blue. In a change of tradition, the Wasted Screen doesn't appear like in GTA V, and instead it plays out much like in GTA IV (albeit heavily glitched), but with an instrumental theme (randomly selected) playing, with WASTED and the cause of death in the lower left corner. The screen disappears after 30 seconds or the X (PS)/A (XBOX)/B (NSWITCH)/LeftMouse (PC/MAC) Button
Anti-Gravity Racing
Grand Theft Auto: Nexus City has street racing, like many other games. However, since it takes place in the far future, the vehicles that take part in the races are anti-gravity craft powered by aircraft engines, like in wipE'out", BallisticNG, Redout, Antigraviator, F-Zero and Formula Fusion. Due to the advances in technology, the speeds regularly achieved in the races regularly exceed 1000km/h. As a result, city streets like those in Carcer City and Liberty City are unsuited to Anti-Gravity Racing. Special tracks (Such as Carcer Reach (Carcer City) and Xer0 Project (Liberty City)) had to be built near those cities. Other already existing tracks (Such as Reval Square (Tallinn, Estonia) and Luna Doloris) were converted. Nexus City, which was built in 2202, is suited to high-speed racing as vehicles hover along the magneto-locked roads at 500km/h.

An example of street racing in Nexus City. (Vehicles shown here include Överflöd Cameo)
The Player can participate in Anti-Gravity Racing, if they are in an Anti-Gravity Vehicle that is capable of reaching at least 1032km/h (such as the OPT Superior & Belmondo Gx100).
Anti-Gravity Vehicles have 6 unique stats (BÜRGERFAHRZEUG SCHAAN STATS ARE USED AS AN EXAMPLE):
- Top Speed (7.5/10) [1234.8km/h, Mach 1]
- Acceleration (10/10) [0-400km/h in 2 seconds]
- Firepower (6/10) [100gsu]
- Handling (9/10)
- Range (10/10) [100000km]
- Shield Durability (6/10) [100gsu]
Included in the stats are some of the parts in the vehicle:
- Engine: 1x OPT WR-12 Low-Bypass Afterburning Turbofan
- Fuel Type: Kerosene
- Weapon Systems: Pulsar Industries BD-19 Weapon Mounting System
- Airbrakes: Bürgerfahrzeug DRUCKLUFTBREMSE Resistive Airbrake System by Bürgerfahrzeug

Television
Grand Theft Auto: Nexus City has a sophisticated TV system unlike other games like GTA 4 and GTA 5. There are also unique features like changing the position (leaning and sitting), eating and drinking and sleeping. GTA: Nexus City's TV System comes with a larger number of mocap-based TV shows that contrast with the predominantly cartoon-based programs and sport programs in GTA V, with many shows that parody futuristic action shows, sitcoms, cartoons, sports and TV news reports.

Storage
Grand Theft Auto: Nexus City is the biggest game made by Rockstar. Despite that, it is somehow compressed into a small file size of 10GB. Most of the 10GB is audio, making it a similar situation to No Man’s Sky by Hello Games.
In spite of the small file size, you would need a very powerful machine to play the game (Minimum 3GHz CPU, min 10GB DDR3 RAM), and at least 500GB of storage.
Graphics
Like Grand Theft Auto: Anywhere City Stories, the game engine is a weird hybrid, this time of RAGE, id Tech 7, Blender, Source 2 and Luminous Studio.
- Map is rendered with Blender 2.80
- id Tech 7 Destructible Demons feature applies to all player/NPC models.
- Luminous Studio was used for visual effects.
- Source 2 was used for the VR Capability
- RAGE was the base engine,

Maintenance
Unlike ACS, this game derives from the maintenance feature of Red Dead Redemption 1 mixed with RDR2’s realism. It is possible to add hair, however, due to advanced science. Also, injuries are area specific. For example, a bullet across the face will result in a scar across the face that bleeds, while an explosion near the ribs will cause that part of the body to be literally blown apart, and if you're playing as Blake/Katrina, their always-active secondary ability causes any body parts detached from the body to reattach themselves, and wounds to fuse together and seal. This means that the game is not recommended for anyone who cannot handle extreme gore and graphic (yet not sexual) violence.
Eating and Drinking is necessary for regeneration of health (alongside health pickups and Blake/Katrina's unique always-active secondary ability). While eating too much increases body mass, and eating too little decreases body mass, it does not reflect in the player's appearance, rather in the way they move. If undernourished, they may move faster with slightly more lively movements due to an increase in stamina, while if overnourished they move much slower and with less life in them (Except Blake, who moves lifelessly regardless of weight), due to less stamina. One way to get rid of body mass is going to the gym.
In the gyms, 10 of which are available per district of Nexus City, there are numerous exercises you can perform:
- Weightlifting
- Bench Pressing
- Treadmill Running
- Boxing
- This section requires expansion.
Maintaining Blake (APPLIES TO KATRINA AS WELL)
The player needs to eat. Over feeding them will adversely affect their stamina but give them more health while under feeding them will give them more stamina but less health. It will not change their appearances, however, which reflects how their bodies are frozen in time. Also, feeding them too much will make them throw up on the floor. Blake also depends on caffeine (otherwise his stamina is lowered), claiming that it is a miracle drug. Katrina however does not.
The player also needs to sleep to recover stamina and health. Neglecting sleep will make his eyes have more shadows and his skin will become more pale than it already is. Blake gets 4 hours of sleep, and Katrina gets 5.
Unlike John, they don't need to go to the gym.
Maintaining John
John needs more food than Blake due to his muscle strength. The player can feed him more than Blake. However, over feeding him will give him more fat and his muscle strength will decay. Under feeding him will give him less fat and less muscle.
With John you have to go to the Gym.
Again, sleep is mandatory to recover health and stamina as if you don’t sleep, John will develop eye shadows and pale skin. John gets 8 hours of sleep.
Maintaining Jay
Jay is faster than the others so he can eat less. The over feeding and under feeding rules still apply.
This time Jay needs to go to the Gym as well.
Jay needs more sleep than the others. The adverse effects of neglecting sleep apply as well. Jay gets 10 hours.
Maintaining Skyler
Skyler is more powerful than the others (bar Blake) so she needs the same amount of food as Blake. The rules regarding eating still apply.
Skyler doesn’t have to go to the gym.
She gets slightly more sleep than Blake (6 hours). The adverse effects of a lack of sleep still apply.

- The lower right corner of the HUD is not fixed to all protagonists. Due to this, it is used to show a statistic display specific to each protagonist (Blake has a HUD showing his vitals [HEART RATE, BODY TEMPERATURE, BODY MASS, BLOOD PRESSURE], John has a strength stat, Jay has a display showing his current speed and Skyler has a mental state monitoring device)
- This game has more gore than even the Manhunt series, almost making it rated AO by the ESRB.
- The aforementioned gore is most likely due to Blake Johnson and his appearance, he has a tendency to summon blood particles from his lower abdomen.
- The game lasts from April 30th, 20460 to December 2nd, 20461. This makes the story mode last approximately 1.5 years, making it the longest continuous (No Time-Skips) story mode for a GTA Game.
- The Maintenance feature from RDR2 is modified and you can now add hair. Thus the protagonists are more customizable than CJ from GTA: San Andreas.
- The game loses most of the infamous crude humor from previous games and becomes significantly darker and more mature than the rest of the GTA HD Universe.
- Vehicles are classed in the following way: [ENGINE_TYPE//VEHICLE_TYPE]
- Like GTA V, this game has SWITCH scenes that are scripted to appear whene you are SWITCHing between protagonists. For example, one of Blake’s SWITCH scenes involves him waking up from a nightmare with a Positron Uzi in his right hand and screaming very profane language very loudly.
- There are various references to other franchises in this game (Cyberdemon Horn - DOOM, Projekt Crimson - Cyberpunk - CD Projekt Red, The Epsilon Menace - Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace)
- The cover for this game has no helicopter pictured, unlike other games in the series.
- The Complete Edition's cover does however feature a helicopter.
- The beta version of the logo is not in the Pricedown font. A different (unknown) font is used in its place.
- The final version of the logo does use Pricedown and another font.
- The unknown secondary font is changed for the Re-Releases and all subsequent Nexus City imagery.
- Some of the missions are named after songs.
- All the vehicles that were manufactured by Belmondo have their Date of Assembly set to any year from DD/MM/2040 to DD/MM/2524.
- Blake’s personal vehicle has its date of assembly set to 17-5-2028. This makes it one of the oldest vehicles in the game.
- The oldest vehicle in the game is the Benefactor Ur-Motorwagen, with the oldest models having their Date of Assembly stats set to DD/MM/1885.
- All missions in ARC 2 CHAPTER 2 have their names in Italian.
- A developer pre-alpha test demo had been on a cluster of 50 PlayStation 3 SuperSlim systems running CellOS 4.85, indicating that it may have been intended to be one of the last games for CellOS (PS3 system software). The plan was scrapped and instead the demo was moved to the PS5, being developed on a cluster of 25 PlayStation 5 systems running version '''20.02-02.30.00''' of the system software. Another possibility was that the pre-alpha PS3 demo was used to test the limits of the PlayStation 3‘s Cell processor. The results were not good, and the demo was moved onto the PS5.
- This is the first GTA game with native VR compatibility, even including a special VR headset for the XBOX systems and the Nintendo Switch. Due to this, it is normally played from a first-person perspective, although three third person perspective camera distances are available as well (PS4/PS5 Touchpad, Xbox View Button (Also applies to Apple TV), Nintendo Switch + Button, V key on computers, pause menu on Mobile)
- It is also the first GTA Game to be natively in 8K, however, it is compatible with Full HD (1080p) TVs and 4K (<u><</u>2160p) TVs.
- The default aspect ratio used by the 8K and 4K modes is 1.90:1 (Corresponding to 8192x4320 - RED 8K FF/4096x2160 - 4K RED), meaning that black bars appear on the top and bottom of the screen, unless you use a TV with that exact aspect ratio.
