Nicole "Nikki" Laughton is a character in Grand Theft Auto series who appears as a supporting character in North Yankton Stories and as a minor character in Grand Theft Auto: Unhinged.
General[]
Nikki was born in Ludendorff, North Yankton, in 1984 to Wayne and Janice Laughton. She had a brother, Klaus, who was 12 years older than her. Both siblings grew up in a good family, but when Klaus turned 25, he became a pimp.
Nikki isn't a fan of criminal activities, and due to Klaus' occupation, they have a difficult relationship. Klaus has also asked Nikki to work for him several times. Despite her hatred towards outlaws, she is dating Tommy Bell, a local small time thug and the owner of illegal liquore store. Nikki loves Tommy because of his personality, and hopes he'll some day give up his criminal lifestyle.
Nikki works at Ludendorff Pharmacy.
Events in North Yankton Stories[]
In the beginning of the game, Nikki and Tommy take flowers on Nikki and Klaus' mother's grave. Nikki can be seen in several occasions during the story, advicing Tommy and discussing with him about the occuring events.
When Klaus tries once again to force Nikki work for him by beating her, Tommy gets finally fed up with him and kills Klaus. Even though Nikki didn't like her brother, she asks Tommy to let her be for some time.
Aftermath[]
After Tommy kills Felipe Hocker, and the life in Ludendorff returns back in order, Nikki forgives Tommy for killing Klaus, admitting it's for the best.
Events in Unhinged[]
In 2016, Nikki and Tommy arrive in Los Santos to visit their friends, the Drebin Family bikers. Tommy has arrived a couple of days before her, but unbeknownst to Nikki, has been killed by Nelson Wilson.
Nelson encounters Nikki as a random character at the LS International Airport, and she asks him to give her a ride to her hotel. On the way, Nikki tells how her relationship with Tommy has gone sour in recent years and plans the dumb him during their visit. Nelson stays silent on Tommy's fate and gives Nikki his number, in case she wants to go sightseeing.
Completing her random encounter, allows the player to hang out with Nikki and have casual sex with her, making her Nelson's girlfriend.
Personality[]
Nikki is smart and thoughtful. She cares about Tommy, and asks him to stop his criminal lifestyle before it gets him killed. Nikki despises the Drebin Family and Daniel Drebin.
