Payback is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Songs from the Bayou given by Emily Devereaux to Aleksandra Kowalska. This is the only mission of The Hurricane Suite chapter that takes place outside of the Eastern New Bourbon Area although it starts in the area.
Plot[]
Aleksandra approached Emily as she was watching the horizon and asked if Aleksandra has been around rest of city as the Hurricane nears (if she has "defogged" the city from the map she says yes or if she hasn't "defogged" completely she'll say no) depending on her answer she told her that the hurricane threat makes it difficult to do business and that Osos helping August Protestors and that the recent kidnapping attempts make it feel as though she has no choice but to strike back.
Aleksandra told her that she was more than prepared to help her as the Osos have gone after her friends and nearly killed her friend's brother. Emily told her that she knows a specialist that can take care help perform a raid into the Lakeside Car Ring Derby and takedown Van Long.
Aleksandra agreed to working with her and asked if she'd be willing to let her bring in some of friends if need be. Emily agrees take her to car as they drive out to the Bayou.
They stumble upon a rundown shack with rotten cartwheels, flooding gravesites, and with the swamp occupied by hissing alligators. That's when they were greeted by Conner Mann; a specialist when it comes to performing police-style raids as Emily reminded him of how he helped with the stuff back in the Midwest and he could go to jail from countless acts of fraud, impersonating feds, and other related crimes. Conner told her that he remembers well and didn't need the threats as he was willing to help whoever asks him with a raid.
Emily tells him about the Demolition Derby ring and he told her that he knows of it and its "under the table" dealings with its duffel bags of ecstasy. Emily details that Van Long develops his own brand of ecstasy by mixing in coffee powder to include caffeine with its street name being "Molly Coffee".
Conner calls Molly Coffee stupid and told her that he's willing to help her, but told her that he needs a blueprint and property documents which they'll have to go into East Lecote to acquire. Emily was uncertain about it due to the MOD checkpoints and approaching hurricane to which Aleksandra told her that she can wait with Conner and she'll fly over asking if she can borrow Conner's helicopter she saw outside. Conner agree and Emily thanked for her ingenuity. Before she left; Emily decided to tell her the benefits of identity concealment and gave her an option of outfits for her to wear as her concealment set which was a maroon three-piece suit with gloves and balaclava, a cheerleader outfit with bright yellow gloves and a bright yellow face mask with bald cap, conductor's cap, and black sunglasses, or a blue & red casual outfit with black gloves and a paper bag. After choosing her set she proceeded to leave after Emily gave her a voice modulator to disguise her voice and hide her Polish accent.
Aleksandra flies over to Popular Memories Real Estate on Caprio/Saint Wynn Street in West Braxton. Aleksandra landed near the corner of Caprio Street and Saint Wynn Street.
If the player chose the cheerleader's concealment set; Aleksandra is confronted by two men and a woman harass her over her face mask tried to argue with her that masks don't work and that it restrict breathing with Aleksandra clapping back that she breathe just fine. The harassers told her to take it off to which she said she can wear whatever she wants, however, one of them tried to reach out to her, but she fought them off prompting a brawl with them on Saint Wynn Street electing not to kill them.
After defeating her anti-mask harassers; she breaks into the Popular Memories and demanded for the blueprints and property documents for the Lakeside Car Ring Derby to which the head realtor, Spencer Barnett, refuses her demand and for her to leave, however, Aleksandra drew her pistol on him and ordered again but he remains defiant and proceeded to trigger the alarm stating that they were being robbed by a woman in suit (or bald cheerleader or woman with a paper bag). Aleksandra said that she didn't want his money just the documentations she asked for to which Spencer refused to give. Aleksandra began shooting store computers before noticing a frame picture of Spencer's family and a family heirloom on the back. Aleksandra threatened to destroy the heirloom if he didn't give her the documentations. Spencer finally took her seriously and proceeded to give her the documentations as she made from the helicopter and fled from the cops before returning to the old Shack in Bayou Nwa.
Raid Setup[]
With the documentations; Conner has set up a board with list of contacts for Aleksandra to go through in a ledger. Emily decides to tell Aleksandra about KittyCats with Aleksandra asking her if she was serious with Emily saying unfortunately yes. Conner told her that she'll have to help finance raids with KittyCats as they were an untraceable way to make money. Emily stated that she will show her how to later before donating K1500 into the moneybox. Conner said that if she wanted more accessible options she'd have to make regular donation so that he can get them more equipment. Aleksandra asked if her friend Davina can be in the job as Davina would want revenge on the Osos for trying to kill her brother with Emily agreeing.
Conner said that approach it two-ways either a Military Approach in which they stealing a Barracks OL from the National Depot, Carbine Rifle from an NBPD Evidence Storage, and pilot uniforms and equipment from the Air Force at Winchester Service Providers. Or they can dress-up as firefighters for the Firefighter Route in which they steal a Firetruck from the FDNB, Advanced Rifles from the FIB, an Ambulance as a getaway vehicle, and steal a WSP Van carrying firefighter uniforms and equipment.
Military Approach crew[]
After selecting the Military Approach; Conner tells them that they'll need a crew of nine with Emily, Aleksandra, and Davina already being accounted for Aleksandra just had to choose six more. Aleksandra had to designate the jobs for each crew member with the options being;
- Driver x1
- Gunner x5
- Point Person x1
- Rearguard x1
After the selecting a job for all but herself; Conner gives Aleksandra a list of locations to go to and told her bring the equipment to each location where he'll have a contact pick them up later after a heat his died down.
Firefighter Approach crew[]
After selecting the Firefighter Approach; Conner tells them that a crew of six (not including Aleksandra) will be necessary with his listing jobs being;
- Ambulance Driver x1
- Ambulance Crew x3
- Point Person x1
- Rear Guard x1
After selecting the number of job for each crew member but herself; Conner gives Aleksandra a list of locations to go to and told her bring the equipment to each location where he'll have a contact pick them up later after a heat his died down.
Conclusion[]
After deciding the approach and crew; Emily told Aleksandra to make sure she was wearing her concealment set before tackling each job in order to avoid detection before sending off her with each task.

A phone call to Davina;
- Aleksandra: Hey, I got a thing going down with Emily Deveraux. We're going to hit that Vietnamese mob's derby ring and was wondering if you'd want a spot in it.
- Davina: Y'know - a few days ago I'd imply that you were crazy, but with days that we've been having and what they did to my brother. Of course."
- Aleksandra: Great - I'll call Emily and tell her to give you the meet-up location."
A phone call to Emily;
- Emily: Hey Aleksandra, you spoke to Davina?
- Aleksandra: Of course, and she's on board. I told her I'll get you to call her and give her the meet-up.
- Emily: Bein! I'll call her and we'll get it down once you bring the gear.
- Aleksandra: Until then, I guess.
