Straight to Tokyo is a racing game featured in HD Universe, developed in September 10th 2021, by the Japanese company Monde, responsible for making the Tokyo Racing Challenge series and Lulu, the publisher that also made the same series.

It is available for PC, DegenaTron 5, and the EXsorbeo 800.

Description

The objective of the game remained the same as the previous title, with racers competing against rival drivers on the Shuto Expressways of Japan in an attempt to become greatest racer. The SP Battle format now integrates health penalties for hitting walls and other cars.

The game features significantly more rivals than its predecessor, with 400 opponents to race. New to the series, in addition to many more gangs and bosses, are a group of rivals known as Wanderers. These drivers do not belong to a particular team, but have a selection of requirements which the player must meet in order to be able to race against them. These requirements can include appearing on certain days, driving certain cars, having a certain mileage on your car, defeating certain rivals, or having a certain amount of CP.

A unique aspect of this game is that certain teams have two or three sub-leaders, only one of which can be raced for each play-through of the game. The same applies to certain bosses in the first half of the game who appear depending on which class of car the player is driving.

Many cars were in the game to unlock after some rivals are defeated, including the European cars and super cars such as Bordeaux, Benefactor, Pegassi, Lampadati, Progen, Grotti and others.

This game also includes engine swap for vehicles, (e:An M-EVO302 engine from the Keroppi is swapped for the Feline, while the P-GP1 engine is swapped for the Annis Elegy RH7).

Although the final boss known as the Devil 190Z is the fastest, the fastest cars such as the Schafter GTR, Infernus, Coquette, Turismo, Bullet, Banshee and the Progen GP1 can be modified and beat the last boss.
