The Taiga XL is based on Toyota Corolla Cross with the rear design borrowed from Toyota RAV4 2018. The other body design cues are taken from Roewe RX5 2019.

- According to Karin website, it says that Taiga XL for the US market was unveiled on 17 December 2020. In fact, Toyota Corolla didn't made productions for Toyota Corolla Cross for the US market, until June 2nd 2021.
