Variable Removal is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: New Leaf given to Tristan Kirby by Gezim Tolka.
Summary[]
Gezim is fed up with the Basic Squad and The Terrible Sixteens interfering in his business schedules and tasks Tristan with setting them straight.
Mission[]
Tristan meets Gezim in the backroom of the Dine and Drink (based on the Red Room Bar & Restaurant) as requested and spots Gezim tending to one his men who seems to have a broken nose. Tristan asks what happened and Gezim tells him that he scheduled a meet with the San Fierro Triads (New Leaf) at the Skateboard park to acquire some plates to help with his money laundering business but some punks harassed his men and hit the one he is treating over the head with a skateboard.
Gezim expresses his anger as a while ago he was stalked and almost assaulted by "some schmuck" in a clown costume. Tristan tells him about the Basic Squad and The Terrible Sixteens to little gangs that are merely just pests but seem to be allies with one another. Gezim tasks Tristan with beating up some of the members tells him not to kill any of them.
Tristan nods in agreement and heads to the Skate Park where he confronts a few hooligans. However, after brief exchanges of insults - Tristan punches one of the hooligans and takes his Knuckle Dusters before turning his attention to the other Skaters.
After beating up the hooligans and learns that Justin is the that instigated the attack - he heads over to the East Side Cemetery and assaults a group of "evil" clowns telling them to leave Gezim Tolka alone. Several "evil" clowns come running out with baseball bats and knives but Tristan defeats them all. One of the "evil" clowns gives the name of one of their own - Crowley and tells him that he doesn't want anyone at the cemetery. Tristan knocks out Crowley and phones Gezim.
Gezim tasks Tristan to steal Crowley's Walton from the Valet Water Department and modified it on his tab. Gezim tells Tristan after the car is modified to track down Justin and used the modifications to his advantage by ramming into his car until he "gets the message".
Tristan does just that as he manages to scare Justin enough while letting the skater think that Crowley is behind the recent assault before eventually side-swiping his car into a ditch. Tristan sends Gezim a message and Gezim tells him to take the car back to Customs and undo the modification before leaving it at the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
After Tristan drops the car at the Treatment Plant - he leaves the Plant grounds and approaches a car. The mobster with the broken nose is revealed to be the driver and tells Tristan that he'll drop him off at the Valet Inn & Suites.
The mobster leaves Tristan at the Inn before driving off.
Gameplay[]
- Head to the Skate Park.
- Beat up the hooligans.
- Head over to East Side Cemetery
- Beat up the "evil" clowns.
- Steal Crowley's walton.
- Drive to the Langlande Customs and purchase the darkened windows and armoured plating modifications - don't purchase any other modification.
- Repair Crowley's car. (only if it is damaged except when attacking Justin)
- Track down Justin and ram his car to fill the scare-o-meter.
- Return the Langlande Customs, repair Crowley's car, and remove the modifications.
- Leave Crowley's car at the Valet Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Outcome[]
As a result of this mission's completion - Tristan Kirby is given $4000 and a pair of knuckle dusters additionally, the mission The Corner Rat is unlocked.
