Vortex is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Songs from the Bayou given by Dr. Nicole LaRue.
Plot[]
Aleksandra arrived at the gate of Gearhead Estates where she was let in without hassle as she rushed to Nicole's house when a truck arrived and crashed through the gate before the drive killed the community watch and gate guards before shouting for Aleksandra. Aleksandra fought them off as she was trying to take shelter in Nicole's house when Quang Phuong arrived as Aleksandra was just outside of Nicole's door. She was aiming her pistol at her (if Aurora was still alive at this point; she'll be holding Aurora at gunpoint telling her to come with her)
In either scenario; Nicole pulls Aleksandra inside as Hurricane Bethany finally makes landfall as several structures started to fracture while Quang (and Aurora) was blown away by the force of the wind.
The city is ravaged by the storm as a power pole crashed into the hospital. The cop cars at Precinct 7 were tossed away as Toni West was showered by glass as a tree burst through (only if she's alive).
Several houses in the Gearhead Estates simply disintegrate along with a few shacks in the swamps as the streets of Eastern New Bourbon started to flood as the river water levels began to raise. The storm carried into the night as several build ventures were damaged by wind or power poles collapsed causing a city wide blackout.
Eventually; Aleksandra and Nicole closed their eyes to sleep out the storm.
By the mid-morning the hurricane had dissipated and Nicole and Aleksandra were surrounded by water as the floods reached inside. They swam to the roof and noticed many people outside with rooftop-high flooding. Aleksandra looked over to a tree to see that Quang was impaled by a branch on it while if Aurora wasn't killed in the previous mission Aleksandra will notice her lifeless body floating in the water before a pair of alligator grabbed her body. An armadillo rescue them in time before they too back alligator breakfast and took them to a temporary housing on Citrus Court (High Court) of Zion City of the East Lecote. Aleksandra was greeted by Zaklina and Olivia, and told her that the house was utterly destroyed but they were lucky enough to escape unscathed.
A man in a suit approached Aleksandra and told her that Emily wants to see her soon. Aleksandra thanked him for the message as Cody and James approached to tel her that they'll need her help in as they will be no doubt swamped with the rescue stuff. Aleksandra told her that she'll visit them soon as she left the building.
Zaklina and a few of the victims of the hurricane including Rachael, Terry, and Peta gathered with Aleksandra and Olivia before Aleksandra left and stated that they were opening a charity box in the shelter in which they can donate money to for the rebuild of the destroyed homes with Nicole making the first donation being $80. Zaklina told them that they'd need to garner at least 3.9 million dollars to help with the rebuild efforts. They all agreed to help as Aleksandra left.

Weazel NEWS[]
Weazel NEWS covers the events of Hurricane and details that the deaths range between 100 and 200. They also cover the destruction of the Floodwalls in Eastern New Bourbon with several areas in the East Lecote mildly flooded with the Floodwalls and anti-flooding defenses in place to prevent any further flooding.
Gameplay changes[]
Due to the city-wide blackout the cell phones won't be usable due to lack of electrical towers in the area as well as cell towers while Eastern New Bourbon was completely flooded with being eight feet high and residents in the area will use boats while the police will use Police Speedos in Eastern New Bourbon rather their typical land vehicles. Additionally; the western sections of New Bourbon will be less flooded with any other section near bodies of water to be at least 5-feet deep in water.
Planes and helicopters can be used again while the Gates Community of Gearhead is almost completely ravaged with the exception of Nicole's house. Additionally; the Kowalska house was destroyed and can no longer be entered.
Police Checkpoints at the bridge to the Eastern New Bourbon to prevent drivers from going across the bridges, however, the player is free to travel via boat. Additionally; if the player travels without a facemask they'll be refused entry to certain locations with Anti-mask protesters having formed in the Bordeaux and several other MOD checkpoints. Anti-Maskers will also try to attack Aleksandra on site if she is wearing a facemask.
